Interesting trade with Vancouver. I think they do it if they had a plan for a goaltender from another team and could flip guentzel for a center. Or maybe this would be a rebuild, but I like the value in this trade

That Vancouver deal makes what Hextall was supposedly trying to give up for Miller look reasonable. Christ.

I like the trade for the Canucks. Sure they gotta replace Demko, but at TDL they get an asset for Guentzel and go into summer of 2024, without cap room (not having Miller) and those young assets from the Pens. Do the Pens really want another forward on the other side of 30 years of age for eight years in Miller?

The Habs don't really need another LHD in Ty Smith. Do they still take on Carter for a trade up from 4th to 3rd ? I doubt it. It would have to be a different side piece than Smith in my opinion.
