Description
Not sure if there is a market for Allen, perhaps we have to pay to dump him at this point but imo we need to move on to 1 year backups rather than a tandem.

Tampa has almost no second round picks and I feel they probably go after someone cheaper to aquire. Ngl I feel like stanley is someone I could see being a good addition for the left side on tampa

TB doesn't have the cap even with the retention doing that means either Colton or Jeannot is gone and that's not happening.

Canucks decline. Beauvillier was great for us after acquiring him, on pace for 50 points with the Canucks. I’d rather keep him and see how he does in a full season as opposed to taking Dvorak. If Beauvillier continues to put up similar stats, we can either keep him or ship him off at the deadline for a haul (2nd + prospect, maybe a 1st from the right team).

True but dvorak has morale with garland and oel and he can be a perfect 3rd centre and we have 2 many forwards

Not enough for Dubois, I'm sure if they a deal this offseason it will be for something close to fair value. You can say Montreal has all sorts of leverage but Winnipeg doesn't have to trade him at all. I could go on but this is such a moot subject.
For the Detroit trade, why wouldn't we just offer Freddy that money of not more instead of paying for Allen? I don't hate Allen but he makes quite a bit for a back up. The salary, age, declining play and minor trade protection just doesn't make him desirable for us at all. I know how trade protection in minor but the two or three teams that might be willing to take a chance on him are easily blocked out.
For the Canucks trade I don't see why they would take the older and more expensive player after Beau just showed so much promise with them. Not to mention Dvorak is hurt right now so he's a big wild card and doesn't hold a lot of value.
LA might do that.
Tampa doesn't have the cap space for Eddy. They have like 9M in cap space and Jeannot, Colton plus more to sign. They can't add cap at all. LA might actually be a better fit for Eddy, maybe a Eddy Walker swap? Probably still need the retention on Eddy but I think he's the type of defenceman they need if they can't resign Gavrikov.

Let's be honest, Tampa is screwed next year whether they make this deal or not, they don't have the room to sign either of those guys. They currently have a projected cap of 2.4 mil with a 15 man roster. The Bolts can't even bring in enough league min contracts to fill out their roster as they need 1 goalie and at least 5 forwards to ice a team, movement has got to happen

Yes they do it's them and 900k or less contracts you're forgetting Seabrook look. Clearly you didn't thoroughly investigate their real cap situation. Please do proper research before making obviously false narratives

Yeah, I agree with you here but like the others say Beau was the better player this year as well. It's kind of a toss up really, would you rather have the middle 6 winger or the 3C. IMO the winger can be replaced easier especially since the Nuck's already have some good winger prospects waiting

Instead of being a D*** checkout the Bolts CapFriendly page, it literally says projected cap for 2023-24 is 2.4 mil. I did check out the Bolts page and only made the comment based on the information on that page.

It doesn't have Seabrook LTIR do you expect Seabrook to be off LTIR? No so their cap space is $9,275,000, but heaven forbid you do some research and get it correct.

Add all the salaries up you'll see during the off season they don't deduct the salary of guys on LTIR.

Allen's numbers weren't better than Neds were this season for arguments sake they were practically identical. You'd have to think they'd just resign Ned before giving up a pick for Allen. Personally I doubt either of them are in Detroit next season.

Yeah like I said in the description and and previously in the thread, I wasn't sure there would be interest and I have serious doubts that there is even a market for Allen this offseason. He has declined so fast, I would compare him to Kinkade.

You could argue that the defense in front of him was quite suspect this season too. Habs are just better off playing him and Monty next season and hoping he rebounds. Probably the most likely scenario as I don't see the Habs wanting to pay to dump a goalie they could really just send down to the minors.
