Does it get the convo started, what if it was changed to Ostlund. He’s a good C prospect. Buffalo has pieces that can help Boston, just like you have some that could help us. Don't think this trade is that far off, especially with Cap issues. Hell I would just sign Clifton and not give you guys anything. But It's not like they haven't traded together before.

Boston refused to trade Carlo for Horvat. That should give you an idea of how hard it will be to pry him away. Their RD depth is putrid. He’s to valuable to them.

Swayman is unlikely to be moved but they may be forced to.

You really would not like the cost to get both in the same trade. Quite frankly you wouldn’t pay it.

Sign Clifton. We expect to lose him anyway. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Trading Sway and Carlo does not help this team at all. It helps you, not us. Those are two they need to keep.

Nope, but fun to speculate.

Would you call this speculation? I wouldn’t. It’s so far off it seems closer to trolling.

I think this is a lot closer to fair than you're getting credit for.

Rosen is a top prospect, that first is unprotected with no guarantee that the Sabres make the playoffs, and UPL's upside is just as high as Swayman's imo, albeit Swayman having a bit more NHL readiness. I don't see Swayman in Boston long term, but Carlo would probably require a lot to pry out.

It’s not. It’s a joke. Bruins are giving up by far the two most valuable pieces.

I get the value and it's pretty close but Boston would never do it in division and I'd they move Carlo it's to get cash to resign their guys like swayman.

The value is not pretty close. It’s really really far off.

I mean, that's not fair to say.

It’s absolutely fair to say. And it’s pretty obviously that way too.

You are being unreasonable. Neither guy gets you a 1C. Come on

He’s not being unreasonable, and he never came close to saying either gets a 1C. Come on. Be better.

It doesn’t get the conversation started. It’s more in the, “you actually wasted my time calling me with this offer,” category. No bueno. Go ahead and sign clifton though. He’s a goner.

Nice of you to cherry pick posts and ignore the one when I said Boston doesn't do the proposed trade

The idea that either alone is worth more than that is laughable, especially swayman

See, you just seem to read what a poster says, bounce it around in your head, and come up with something completed different. Here are two different statements that do not mean the same thing.

1. That offer doesn’t get you one of those players.
2. One of those players is worth more than this.

Just read what people write and respond to that rather than making up things that they said. Simple.

Distinction without a difference. Boston would obviously accept that for swayman.

Sounds Good, gonna be interesting to see how Boston handles the off-season. Don't see how it's wasting your time, time is catching up.

Probably not. Depends what they think of Rosen. They might love the player and think about it, or they might hate the guy and hate this offer. Regardless, they have absolutely zero reason to trade carlo, so most likely it doesn’t come close.

Let’s use a little bit of brain power here. There is a massive difference.

Let’s use a really simple example here. Let’s say a team is full of right wingers. Couldn’t have more right winger depth. But they really only have one good center. Someone comes along and offers a right winger that’s objectively worth more than their only good center. Do you think they make that trade? Of course not.

It’s not all about value, it’s also about fit. Let’s just use a little bit of it, ya?

Don Sweeney picking up a phone call and getting this trade offer would be a waste of time. GMs respect each other enough not to do that crap.

Not every team loves wingers that are 160 pounds. Especially when you’re talking about moving a guy like carlo

Sure, but smart GM's now when the time to strike is to, maybe this isn't the best trade package, but for a team that has only 15 contracts signed and about 9mill in space, hardly something that most wouldn't try.

Nah it’s something no GM would try, because the other GM would never take them seriously again.

It’s a joke of an offer.

Doubt it. Ullmark maybe. But UPL is worthless to Boston. They don’t need a goalie coming back. Just a waste of a 50.

Obviously that package is an overpayment in terms of overall value for Swayman. But as I said before. Other than the 1st, don’t want or need the other pieces. They are of zero interest. So while it is an overpay, it does not help the team or make it better. Org needs matter.

Ottawa and LA have far more interesting pieces and a need for a goalie.

Offer them this years 1st with a meh prospect kicker for Sway and you have a better chance.

Sure, one is your Backup Goalie and the other is a Very good Defenseman 1 hit away from needing a Drool Tray. What was the last one 5 or 6 for Carlo, didn't he even say he lost or had vision problems after the last one for a couple days, yeah I know who they are and there both Good.

A 1st next year when you are likely a playoff team, a 150lb wing prospect that puts up meh #s, and a goalie (don’t need a goalie if we trade one) that was rushed to the NHL but has been bad there.

Pardon me while I don’t wet myself with excitement.

It would be like us offering ‘25 1st, Beecher, DiPietro for Levi and Samuellson. A joke of an offer.

Yes a Wing prospect playing his first full year in the AHL putting up .56pts a game who is young and needs to grow, and is actually up to 175lbs now, just like any other young kid. Like I said earlier maybe not the best trade package, but Swayman is a backup right know and Carlo is good but there is injury concerns with him, especially Concussion concerns.

Calling Swayman a backup is like calling Draisailtl a 2 center.

He’s co #1 with a Vezina front runner that has played 42 and 37 games over the last 2 years and was in top 10 statistically this year.

84 career games 2.24 .920. That’s not a backup.
