Description
If we get Bedard I would be interested in us trying to move Suzuki to the wing and try to turn him into a Mark Stone (but better). Bedard and Dach could be our 1-2 for years and even though it would split up Caufield and Suzuki I think it would be two really solid lines.

Bedard changes our franchise, and I think we can immediately take a step next year without injuries. I'm not sure about the value, but I think its pretty fair and even though I really like Beck, he would top out as our third-line center so I think its worth it.

Ik we don't "trade with Boston" and they probably wouldn't want futures, but they could easily flip these pieces next season for anther playoff push.

From a bruins perspective I think this is a fair deal considering the B's need for centre depth, draft picks. Organizationally are already strong in goal.

Hrabal probably wont be as good as Swayman in his prime anyway, and wont be ready to be a full time started for around 6 years (assuming he's ready when turning 24).

Might be better to offersheet Swayman instead and give up only a second though.

No goalie is worth that package outside Shesty and Vasi tho.

God no!

This.

There are 4 legit solutions to be had in the early 2nd round.

Just accept that the Habs arent getting Bedard. Habs fans are going to put needless pressure on Hughes to grab an alternative option if they think the Habs have a good chance at Bedard.

Getting one of Benson or Will Smith is a great prize. Keep building.

Do you have a crystal ball, what if he becomes the next Price. He was amazing in the junior tournament. Swayman will always be a back up, we already have 2

Any offer sheet only generating a second round pick compensation on Swayman, the Bruins match. If the plan is to snipe him you’re going to have to hit the 1st + 3rd tier before it becomes a non-auto match. Even then Bruins probably match and trade Ullmark.

Swayman who was 4th best in the league in Save % and GAA, with a 24-6 record, and was third in the league in shutouts only starting 40% off games, will only ever be a back up…..

Interesting take!

behind boston great defense Swayman is that...I bet monty would put up great numbers behind that defense... it is the same in carolina whoever goes there their goalie numbers improve drastically and then they are traded (rAAnta) they fall apart.
