I feel bad for Sens fans tbh. My dad is a Sens fan, so I've always followed and respected them. The whole sale process has been awful. The fans are given so much hope with names like Ryan Reynolds and Snoop Dogg thrown out, but it all keeps falling through. Ottawa is a city that deserves a fun team. The on ice foundation is there, now it's just finding an ownership group to match

That’s because the Sparks group is still raising funds to complete their bid and Neko Sparks got rich through Crypto scams allegedly, both not good looks for potential future owners

In def have no idea how legit he is or isn’t - I’m guessing that the answer is quite secret, and the details “leaking” are intentional to discredit the group. It isn’t abnormal for financing to go down to the 11th hour as the bids are changing and the banks desires change as the bids do.

I dunno that I want his group as an owner truly, I would have to have interacted with them to know, but I do feel a few things: the bid must be good or the group wouldn’t have a persistent churn of negative PR against it and individuals like Seravelli who are feeding that PR are showing their colors. That dude is bought and paid for in my eyes. Friedman could easily let himself be used to swing public perception of the process and he’s not.

That’s really not how sports ownership works, 90% of the time, bad PR = bad bid, especially when there’s 4 bids and one of them is clearly sub par compared to the others, one would venture to say that his bid is only still in as leverage to get the other bidders to pay more

Nill’s got to be one of the worst GM’s when it comes to give out UFA deals, as of right now many contracts look horrible such as:

Miller
