To get Barabanov and Sturm, two of the three guys in the team likely not to be moved at all, and dump $20 mil in Campbell? At least the 2024 1st, a multiple other high end pieces.

First, those two are overpriced and I wouldn't want them.
Second, you have zero NHL goalie so getting one helps you, no matter that he struggled this year.
Third, YOU PEOPLE that think bad contracts can't be traded unless you give up 5 top assets have been proven wrong more times than the times where a team gives up the moon to dump a player.

Reimer has better numbers and Kahkonen is very close to Campbell and neither have a $5 mil cap hit. Bad contracts can absolutely be traded, but not when they are owed $20 mil over 4 years. When was the last camp dump that size that took place? Would love to see it.
