Well if you had eyes you'd see 4.4m coming back they clear over 5m in dead cap from buyouts and how ever they chose to address they're defense is up to them. Also if needed rangers have (In this scenario 4m+) so could retain panarin to 9m max imo. But thanks for coming out and giving it a shot. Educate yourself next time.

I mean, taking on Bennet's 4.425m, along with Gudas 2.5m going off the books, that's clearing about 6.5m in cap (after you replace Gudas). It eventually adds 5m in terms of Panarin's cap hit and they had roughly 11m going into the offseason. That means they'd have 6m to resign/replace the Staal Bros, Giovanni Smith, Colin White and Casey Fitzgerald.

Panarin would be a great add for FLA. For NYR I would rather prioritize getting back Duclair so maybe this would work better:

Panarin+Cuylle for Duclair+Bennet (plus picks to round out either side)

Helps FLA more with the cap, eliminates the need for NYR to resign Tarasenko on an overpaid deal (4 years at 6+m is a terrible deal for NYR). TBH I'd rather sign Kane on a 2 year 3m deal than Tarasenko at 6+ for 4 years.

Actually I did. Total of existing contracts Florida has for next year totals $71,008,334. They have the buyout of Yandle at $1,241,667. It leaves them with $11,249,999 in cap space before any trade (83.5m-72,250,001).

Bennett makes $4,425,000
Panarin makes $11,642,857

That's a total difference of $4,029,142. As I mentioned, throw in Duclair for Cuylle (as Panarin was slightly undervalued in actual trade, not saying Cuylle = Duclair) and you clear up an additional 2.1m (after adding in the replacement value) for roughly 6.1m in cap space for Florida to resign/replace Staal Bros, Giovanni Smith, Colin White and Casey Fitzgerald. It's workable.

Don't know how he came to the total of needing to sign 6 players when they only need 4... and definitely accounted for the knight extension. Also in this I put the cap up 2m since there's a possibility of cap going up 1-4m. Very doable you just wanna sit here and continue even though you know you're wrong... thanks for coming
