A more likely scenario from both teams POV would be trading Laf for Gurianov + 2nd. Neither player has lived up to their draft pedigree, both are former 1st round picks (top 12), both have career high points of about 32. Montreal is adding the 2nd because Laf is younger with more potential. I don't think it will be liked by Rags fans but Gurianov will be cheaper on a bridge deal (which makes it easier to resign some other RFA's they have) since he is slightly older but he is also just entering his prime as well which still fits the Rags cup window.
