Ditch the Bailey for Labanc deal and the Bryson deal and this is something to seriously consider. Vegas and Calgary are desperate to move cap to retain their core pieces and both teams might add just to move good players no longer in their plans.
Also like giving Johnson another year as he has looked decent here and would fill whole till 24/25 season

Not sure anyone will take labanc and this way we get a prospect and a veteran for him. Did the Bryson trade to get a RD, don’t see McCue getting signed anyway. Have to try and get impactful players from cap strapped teams like Calgary and Vegas. Not sure the status of either player though as they haven’t played this season.

Flames decline pretty quickly. Kylington is worth much more than that lol

No he isn’t, a guy who misses an entire year for “undisclosed reasons” and who’s career and status is in doubt is near worthless, plus the desperate need to free up cap makes his value even less.

I agree but Labanc provides similar offense to Bailey but as a RW and sharks need top 9 RW more than an older LW.
Last few games he’s looked like an impact player and if he can stay out of the dog house could be a 40-50 point guy next year.

Well a 5th and Unsigned 6th Round Prospect are pretty much "worthless" as well, so we'll just wait & see on Kylington and wait for a better offer

Fair, I am skeptical about his return and think he lost his drive to play. So while the pick and prospect are near worthless (not argument) still the max I would risk for now.

Flames have to move out cap somehow, they are really in a bad spot next year. Kylington seems like an easy move to make space. Not sure many teams will be interested in giving up much with him being away from hockey for a while. Would imagine there needs to be a guarantee he will actually play too

Vladar is the most likely candidate to get moved if that's the case, which solves any minor cap issue we have and given we have Dustin Wolf and/or can sign a cheap $775k Goaltender. Might mean playing with a 22 man roster, but that's doable

Rather keep Kylington and/or throw him on LTIR if need be before giving him away for little to nothing

Other potential players who could be moved are Zadorov, Tanev, Toffoli or Hanifin if a) we get a great offer for any of them and/or b) they won't Sign Team Friendly Extensions

Then Calgary will trade someone else. Calgary is not remotely as desperate as you make them out to be. Moving net 1.5M is not remotely as difficult as you think, especially when every player on the team has positive value in that range. For example, NYR had no issues moving out someone like Georgiev (who had arbitration rights IIRC) to be cap compliant.

Georgie didn’t miss a year for personal reasons. He also wasn’t signed meaning his contract was not costing New York Rangers money. Last year Kylington might’ve been able to get you a first with the year. He was having this year with so much uncertainty. It’s gonna be hard to have any value but you’re right I could be wrong I could be dead wrong, but if I was a GM, I wouldn’t be comfortable trading value for somebody who I don’t know if they even play again, or be at the same level.

Again it doesn't have to be Kylington. In fact I highly doubt they do trade him. Vladar is probably the on moved so Wolf can come up.

Georgiev not being signed doesn't matter, they still got value for a contract they had to move.
