Description
The flames are in for a horrible offseason the year after next with the expiring contracts of Lindholm, Tanev, Toffoli, Backlund, and Zadorov. Some of these players or others will need to be moved or we will just lose guys for nothing. We can aford to lose vladar as despite him being a solid backup and maybe even 1B potential, Wolf needs to be called up as he has dominated the A for the last 2 years. If sutter is still in charge these are moves I could see him liking, and i'm sure he would bring back Lewis, Lucic and Ritchie but I couldn't get myself to sign them, although Ritchie has been alright. If we could get Ritchie on a cheaper 1 year deal I could see him taking over 4th line LW as thats a young line on this team. While I don't think this team is really as good, some changes are going to need to be made.

If you have any different trade ideas, especially the hanifin one please let me know

Détails additionnels:
Plus any other picks it might need to even out, I don't really know how much value Podkolzin has but after reading reports on him he seems like a player Sutter would like if Sutter is still around

CGY
To whatever team wants him, for whatever his value would be now. With Poirier looking like he's going to be challenging for a spot in the next couple years, it makes Kylington expendable. I do like what I've seen from him when he played last year but with Sutter as coach I can't really see him getting the development and ice time he would need so better to just cash in on his value

    1. Jokiharju, Henri
    Détails additionnels:
Plus whatever else would be needed to make this even. Ideally we could keep Tanev as we are better with him in the lineup but with all the expiring contracts set for the next year and him getting up in age + injury problems, moving on from him might be necessary.

I don’t think the Canucks would move Podkolzin. Garland, Boeser, and Hoglander are more likely wingers to be moved

Is he though? Hill was traded for a 4th, Ned was traded for a 3rd a couple seasons ago, Vladar himself was traded for a 3rd 2 years ago.

He has also gained Value. Plus that 3rd was the next draft

I doubt the Sabers would trade for a older injury prone player with out it being a cap dump

Definitely something the Canucks would consider for Hanifin. 26, top 4 defenseman. Canucks traded a first and second for Hronek.

How has he gained value? He's 2 years older, has put up 2 below average seasons, and is signed for over 2 million for 2 years. If you think he gets much more than a 3rd, you're probably setting yourself up for disappointment. Maybe he gets a 3rd in 23 or 24 instead of 25, but the value isn't far off for a back-up.

Tanev is one of the better shutdown defenceman in the league when he is healthy and from what i've seen (limited amounts) the sabres could use a solid defensive defenceman. If not to the sabres I'm sure there is a team out there that would want him.

Sorry but I don't like any of this

The chances of Matthew Phillips (who play RW, not Centre) & Nic Meloche re-signing with CGY are slim to none, since they were't used in the NHL this season

Duehr probably signs for the minimum, similar to Ruzicka to improve his chances of sticking on the NHL Roster. I think a Bigger Meaner RD, like Luke Schenn or Justin Holl or Trading for Jani Hakanpaa would be better than Stecher and if we move Tanev, we should sign Connor Clifton, Kevin Shattenkirk or Matt Dumba for under $5mil/yr

Vladar, Kylington and Tanev are worth far more than you're asking for here and Jokiharju & Podkolzin do not appeal to me at all whatseoever and Picks won't help us at all for years. We need NHL Ready Prospects or Players we can re-tool with, otherwise we already have most of the pieces we need in-house, we just need them to step-up and perform better

Yeah the value isn’t bad at all, I just don’t see Podkolzin being the winger that the Canucks move

If we decided Justin Holl was the guy for us that would be concerning. Matthew Phillips and Meloche not wanting to sign makes sense I would just like to see them, especially Phillips, play for us so thats wishful thinking on my part.

Justin Holl is underrated and would be a fine 3-RD. Tons of pressure on him in TOR and he makes the odd gaf (like Weegar), yet he's Defensively Sound
