Flames ain’t trading Hanifin
Probably not, but a Flames fan did post this today, so it fit my efforts to upgrade the Sabres.
Quoting: BUF10
Mantha Is very bad, Murray isn’t good and has already declined a trade to Buffalo.
Mantha is better than Greenway by a mile and a half. Murray would be reunited with Mike Bales. It could be a nice reunion.

Murray isn't good. The Sabres were going to get a first for taking his contract. Granato wanted Greenway, I'm gonna let Granato cook on that one. Mantha trade makes 0 sense they have a ton of prospects to promote
Spillman for Bloom good deal, Bloom could turn into a decent forward but Buffalo has many prospects better than he.
Portello for a third was wonderful recouperation of asset.
Asplund for a seventh in two years, what a waste for a forward who actually received Selke votes.
Greenway for second, a second for 2 goals. what a waste of assets.
Mantha replaces Greenway and is a huge upgrade.
OK great, so this Murray trade is more in line with that one that got away last year.
Mantha is Greenway on steroids, he would be a good addition or replacement for Jordan.

Yeah tbh f it you can have him.

Thanks for your input.
There was another Murray trade posted after I saw this one, so I changed this.
Let me summarize;
Mantha is a huge upgrade over Greenway.
Greenway is a third line player, Mantha is not doing very well this year but it is significantly better than Jordan.
Murray may not be any better than Comrie but Buffalo moves up to the first round.
While a similar trade was considered last year, the Sabres would have taken on two years of Matt's salary.
Finally, maybe Mike
Bales can get Murray back to his Stanley Cup performance levels.
Hanifin Huge upgrade over Bryson, do I need to say any more.
Dube he would give the Sabres additional depth at center.
Sabres upgrade at defense, center and wing while Murray may find his way back to being a #1 GK
