I’d rather move Boqvist who has been majorly sheltered since coming back from injury, offensive zone starts, PP and against the other teams 3rd or 4th line only. Gudbranson and Peeke has been playing vs the other teams top lines when they should be playing vs the 3rd or 4th line and in shutdown roles. Columbus has a bad problem where they have solid depth player playing to high up the line up.

I know y'all are heading to Cap Hell but I would absolutely give you relief for 50% personally. Its only 1 year on our end and I really want the Gudbranson whisperer on our team. Like in my own Armchair roster my highest priority would be getting Zadorov as an LHD3 to pair with Gudbranson when really we really should be an LHD2 on the open market but really CBJ needs 2 defensemen on the left side while waiting for the kids to develop and Zadorov fits that timeline perfectly!

I was just thinking about doing that was based around picks but I was just throwing my 2 cents in. In my unpublished roster I was going to offer a 2024 2nd and 2023 3rd but didn't want to insult Calgary with something like that so I was thinking of something that would work. While we need a LHD2 for sure I am personally not happy with Bean being the LHD3 next year and while I love Blankenburg to death he gets injured a lot so I think Columbus really needs an additional LHD3 for 2-3 years while Mateychuck and Svozil finish their development. Plus I love a guy that can hopefully help 4x4 show some life, the idea of having 2 big guys taking defensive zone faceoffs and ensuring nobody parks their *** right in front of the crease would be great as I seen enough of that this year.

Can he play on the wing?

That's honestly where she should be playing. Personally I have defended the kid saying he will probably be much better on the wing because being a center is too much responsibility for him. He's so gifted but his hockey IQ is...inconsistent. Personally I think if he ends on the wing he probably could highroll into a 2nd liner with all that raw talent he has and why I said I want to see him on the wing before CBJ dumps him. Our problem is we don't have enough Centers and way too many wings right now so there wouldn't be a spot for him there here.

Buying out Gudbranson isn't going to happen because he's too much of a leader in the room and his presence is needed with such a young blue-line.

I like Peeke, he is solid as a 3rd pair defensive d-man, but CBJ need dmen who can score also, and aside from Werenski, Boqvist (and maybe Bean when he's healthy) is the only other scoring dmen.

With Jiricek coming in next year I think he'll be a little more balanced offensively and defensively, but I don't expect him to put up more than 25 points in his rookie year, so he's probably more likely to replace one of those three defensive guys so Boqvist can create some offense on the second pair.

Blankenburg, Peeke and Gudbranson are all defensive and should be on the third pair. Peeke has the most value of those three so I think he's gone.

Columbus also has more offensive defenseman coming and Peeke is arguably the best defensive game we now have and he still has some offensive potential, reminder he is still only 24. Boqvist has the most value and honestly if he isn’t on the PP he’s basically useless, Bean is in the same boat but since he is a LHD Columbus probably should keep him and let him run on PP2 and Werenski on PP1.

You're not wrong. I think it just depends on what deals or FAs are available and what Jarmo can pull off. There are definitely a lot of options this summer to revamp the defense.
