I think the Flyers would want to add at least another 1st and probably some extra later round picks just to have to help fill back up the prospect pool

U don’t see a 1st being move very often for a keep. I even don’t remember when it happened. I think the last time was for Cory Schneider in 2013. I’m pretty sure they dont get 2 1st for Hart, maybe a better prospect but idk

good goalies don't really get moved like that too often
I think it would be 2 firsts for carter hart as he is a franchise goalie and 24 years old not to mention

Allen and our 2nd this year would be about my limit.
There's too many options and all of them are a gamble, but
I'd rather draft a fresh goalie and develop them properly if the price is even remotely close to what you've proposed.

He's a few years removed from his promising potential and the hope is that he'd perform better with a change of team, but it won't be any easier for him in Montreal than it was in Philly.

Allen has zero value to Philly, they can add ufa tender in such a role, this question is more how keen is Philly ready to move on from hart. Will be interesting on cap dumps added for picks and also if hart is needed to move on from some of Philly term and money all ready handed out. A banged up coutiere possibly or hayes, trying to Reno before the rebuild.

hes 24 and this is his 5th season
normally goalies don't play a full season until their mid twenties
how does he not have his "promising potential"

There's speculation about NJ not qualifying Blackwood.
Georgiev was traded for two 3rds and a 5th.
Nedeljkovic for Reimer and a 3rd.
Samsonov wasn't qualified.
Gustavsson was swapped straight up for Talbot.
Vanecek went for a 2nd and a 3rd.
Adin Hill for a 4th.
Vladar for a 3rd.

Goaltenders are fairly cheap these days, especially in that age/dollar range.
A high 2nd isn't bad value at all (~40th overall). Allen is only a stop gap/mentor that may be flipped for a later pick, it's not unusual for a goaltender trade to require one going back the other way.
It takes a much better track record and/or specific circumstances for a goaltender to return a 1st and more. This is about as close to a 1st as you're going to get.

Hart is like dozens of other goaltenders that show high promise and wilt after a couple of years. Sometimes they are in a bad situation and their performance improves with a change in that situation, whether that be the team improving around them or moving to a different team, but it's far from a guarantee.

There are enough possibilities that we don't need to throw a bunch of assets away on a player that is no less of a gamble than someone cheaper to acquire/sign.
