Lol the reason he's a healthy scratch is because Tampa is rotating all defenseman not named Victor Hedman or Ryan McDonagh.

All of his advanced numbers are down from last year, sure his zone starts are more evened out now, but he isn't anything more than a 3rd liner that's Elite on the Powerplay.

What are you even talking about? His 5v5 advanced numbers have improved from last season even with less sheltering. Both his 5v5 CF%Rel and FF%Rel have improved, and he's among the team leaders in both those categories, so Tampa is clearly better when he's on the ice.

Also, "constantly" a healthy scratch? He's played 45 out of Tampa's 49 games. I know you desperately want him to fail so you can justify the Drouin trade, but facts are facts. He's only 20, and the fact that you're writing him off as a 3rd pair PP specialist is just sad.

CF Rel went from 8.8 - 8.7
FF Rel is the same

I never said I am writing him off. I said he is currently a 3rd pairing power play specialist who hasn't improved since last year. In fact he got worse (in terms of Point production and advanced numbers), yeah my Healthy Scratch thing got proven wrong, but I know nothing about Tampa and didn't know this "Defensive rotation" existed.

His 5v5 CF Rel last season was a 2.89 and now it's a 4.13
His 5v5 FF Rel last season was a 2.15 and now it's a 4.50

http://www.naturalstattrick.com/playerreport.php?fromseason=20172018&thruseason=20182019&stype=2&sit=5v5&stdoi=oi&rate=r&v=p&playerid=8479410

To say he hasn't improved from last season is totally baseless.

Welp guess the site I am using is wrong

Curiously, what is the difference between "Individual" and "On Ice". It seems all his "Individual" advanced stats are down while his "On Ice" stats are up.

Sergachev is constantly a healthy scratch because his defensive game is so awful. They can't even shelter him. His production is down from last year and his defense has been getting worse if anything. I think Montreal knew what they were doing. Considering Montreal is a defensive first team, Sergachev wouldn't have a chance there. Chances are, he would be playing for Laval right now.

Sergachev is getting scratched because he plays behind Hedman, McDonagh and Coburn on the left side.

Montreal has Benn, Kulak, Rielly and Mete on the left .... Sergachev would be playing with Weber right now.

I don't know if he would tbh. Considering you have to be very good defensively to play for Montreal, I don't think he would.

Yeah maybe not - but his competition for the job is much worse in Montreal.

Also - Sergachev isn't getting scratched - Tampa just rotates Sergachev, Girardi and Coburn out for a rest once a month.

He's getting the 4th most ice-time out of Tampa's defensemen - and no one should expect a 20 year old to get more than Hedman, McDonagh or Stralman.

Sergachev = 45 GP / 17:45 ATOI
Girardi = 46 GP / 17:27 ATOI
Coburn = 45 GP / 16:24 ATOI

Yeah, I wasn't aware about the rotating thing Tampa does.

That’s ridiculous. The Price signing is probably the single most important signing for the habs in the 21st century. The only objectively bad move that MB has ever made is signing Karl Alzner.

Trading Drouin for Sergachev with the intention of him being the Habs number 1 centre was a bad move that was never going to pan out. Admittedly he readjusted and they moved him back to the wing but at the time is was questionable.

The move was never made for Drouin to play C. But when your current #1C is a 35 year old Tomas Plekanec or a fairly unproven Phillip Danault, then you’re going to see what other options you have. So they played him at C because they had no other options. And once they were able to get other options in Domi & KK (both surprises, either to play C/make the team), then Drouin was moved back to where he was more comfortable.

And the popular opinion of most of Marc Bergevin’s moves immediately after they happen, but almost all of them have turned out well for the habs.

I'd say Tampa has the edge because of the Cup, but it's still close.

We don’t really have a clear idea as to even what each player is right now, so I’d say that this one is still up in the air.

I wouldn’t say that just yet, since they would’ve won the cup whether they had Sergachev or not. This one still depends on what either player turns into.

I was hoping that none of our young forwards would be moved, bit if someone had to go, I was hoping it'd be Johnson. Sad Face.
