so weird that the "timeline accelerating move" for the Jackets just so happens to send a top prospect at a position of need to Montreal!!

Why would moving Jiricek, the Jackets #2 RHD next year, accelerate the timeline? Guhle likely starts on the bottom pairing below Graves and Werenski and slotting him in next to Gudbranson is a recipe for disaster. If it's a change of scenery kind of move, the Jackets have 3 players under team control that are available in Foudy, Bemstrom, or Bean. Take your pick.

Jackets have the money to big game hunting for LHD and better Center play in Free Agency next year and I doubt trading their top prospect for Guhle is anywhere near the table.

IF this is Hab fantasy hour, why aren't you also assuming Montreal gets Bedard and Fantilli with their picks? That's more likely than Jarmo giving up Jiricek.

Im not sure MTL has a single player i would trade Jiricek for 1 for 1.
