What even is that trade?

Devils would rather let Timo walk than take that trade.

They would not let him walk than take a 1st and a high end 2nd line winger on a fair contract

No worries about that happening. If they don't resign him (and they probably will) they'll get plenty of better offers that don't involve taking on an expensive older middle 6 player like Anders Lee.

30 G scorers who drive offense at an elite level are now middle 6 wingers 😂

What he did 5 and 6 years ago isn't what he's done since. He isn't driving play either, he'd have more assists if he was.

That doesn't change that he's a middle 6 winger, on a fairly unappealing contract

He’s a high end 2nd liner. There is no debating that. One of the best 5v5 goal scorers in the NHL.

If you can prove he’s had a middle 6 impact this year I’ll Venmo you $100

He's in the same position as Pearson with Vancouver. He's only ever on the second line because there was nothing better in the system. Lee isn't a top end second liner, he's barely a second liner. He's over paid insanely. His production is not play driving. He's barely a t6, he's a middle 6. But his contract, and the fact that there is literally almost nothing in the depth charts means he gets t6 time.

T6 on a bad depth team doesn't equal top end talent in the rest of the league. While I agree he isn't a bad option at 2nd line, he's not higher than a m6 winger.

thats just not true lol. Lee has been a high end 2nd liner for the last 7 years. 5 of those years he either scored over 30 or was on pace to In a full season. Pearson has scored 20 goals 2x in his career.

By your logic none of these players are better than middle 6 talent. Lee is one of the beat 5v5 goal scorers in the league, what you're implying is that anyone given his role minutes would score at his rate.

I'm not arguing anymore. I get it he's your home town player. He's Connor McDavid to you.

It’s sad that you have to ignore facts because it doesn’t fit your pre conceived notions
