Same here, Yzerman is shedding cap. Can't help but think that he's going after a bigger move here. Could be wrong but with shedding Hroneks $4.4M and now $2.625M on Vrana it sounds like he might be going after an expensive player. Some have said possibly Colton Parayko.

We don't be need to shed cap though really. I think he's just adding picks cause he doesn't feel this team is legit. He added a bunch of free agents and that helped get the team get a bit of a winning culture but I think we don't see a real push until a few more of his drafted players are NHL regulars.
