Description
- Return for Grz is probably too much if I'm honest. (If Orlov doesn't sign, Sweeney will 100% keep him).
- Bertuzzi signs a 1x3mil contract to rejuvenate his worth on the free agent market in 24-25. (this Bertuzzi contract obviously depends on his playoff success – if he plays out of his mind, he likely will sign a 3x7mil).
- Orlov contract is definitely too low. Probably more in the 5x4.5mil range. The only reason I can see him signing that is if Orlov loves the playoffs with the Bruins and likes the term (gets him paid 15mil till he's 37).
- Bergeron and Krejci contracts – who knows, but they are both still playing well, could see them both wanting another year.
- Nosek contract might be accurate (Sweeney loves to give out long-term deals to bottom six guys).
- Can very well see the other deals being signed as such.
- Finally, don't put too much stock into Ty Gallagher being up with the big club, it's more of a placeholder for that kind of contract being the 6th/7th dman.

Bergeron and krejci re signing will be huge. If not the Bruins are looking at Zacha and Coyle down the middle which is still good when supported by wingers such as Pastrnak, Marchand, Debrusk, Hall. Defense will not be a problem with Lindholm Mcavoy Carlo locked up. Be interesting to see what happens if they win the cup. Im sure their playoff run this year will take a pretty big toll on Bergy and Krejci.

Would imagine that if Bertuzzi has an excellent playoff's he's 100% gone, likely signing a 3x5-7 contract. If he's getting 3rd or 4th line minutes and sparse pp time through whatever run the bs have, he'd likely consider signing a 1x3 contract in hopes of lighting it up next year.

Krejci is probably retiring after this year no matter what, but you can always hold out hope. When he does retire, I'd put money on the bruins bringing the sniper they have in Harrison into the big club to see if he could produce with 2nd/3rd line minutes alongside those ridiculous wingers the Bs have.

Lol I was so confused by this. Non-contending team trades high value prospect and picks for a 29 year old?

Anaheim has no need to pay for a player like Gryz when the biggest benefit of the deal is clearing cap space for Boston. We will keep our picks and our prospect, if you want the cap space toss one of your picks in Grzelyck's luggage and buy him a ticket to California.

I'm sure the same goes for Reilly to AZ, if he cleared waivers this season, why would they pay you for him?

Orlov, Bertuzzi, Hathaway, and Nosek are all getting more than that in FA

The Grz trade is 100% optimistic – Bs probably would get a 2nd or 3rd for him from a team that needs his skills. Grzelyck is one of the best dmen this season at creating offense off the rush. If Orlov doesn't sign back with Boston, he will stay for sure.

As for Reilly, I think people underestimate his offensive playmaking ability. Sure, that trade will probably be a 5th or 6th, but for a team like Anaheim who more or less punted on the Klingberg contract, Reilly provides a 4mil cheaper option who is a very similar player albeit left-handed but he is signed through next year and allows any of those dmen draft picks to not have to come into the NHL immediately and spend time developing in the minors. A Reilly trade would provide cap space to extend Zegras, Terry, Drysdale, and Comtois with appropriate contracts. I'm not saying that it should or will happen by any means. His buyout is relatively cheap, but the Bs don't want to buy his contract out and will definitely try and move him for whatever they can get.

They're both fine players, but in the matter of leverage, clearing out the cap space is more valuable to Boston than the player is to one of the bottom feeding teams, so it's likely a Kulikov deal, letting him go for FCs at best. They're may be a few teams out there willing to give up capital to acquire, but it's a VERY limited market.

As to cap space, Anaheim has absolutely no shortage of that, even if we somehow bump up against the cap this season, we have 11 million coming off next year as well in contracts that won't get renewed between Henrique and Silfverberg.
