Doesn't matter really.
He deserves to finish his carrier here.
Just my opinion.

Kings have been terrible since after lucking into their cup. He's what allowed them to at least have some dignity most years despite what they put in front of him as the league changed. Totally disrespectful. He could have retired after this year, instead they move him for a dude who, in his best year, isn't half the player Quick was, and a 5D rental, to just lose in the 1st round. Couldn't have happened to a worse franchise.

Agree, unless Columbus is retaining 50% and flipping quick to someone in the East to be an emergency 3g, Quick shouldn’t be traded.

Also I feel like I remember the he came out and said he was retiring after this season?

I agree, brutal treatment of a long time player that was their goalie for two cup wins!

Watched Copley last night against the Jets, he was pretty terrible.

So they should have been held back by bad goaltending and wasted cap space out of sentiment. Wow. 🙄

They are waiting to announce the deal, so what I suspect is that they are retaining 50%, sending him to ARZ to retain 25% of the total in a Chychrun deal, and then he'll go to a 3rd team like TOR, but maybe even west to Vegas (commence the Quick revenge tour).

My guess is Boston tbh, they just moved Kinkaid earlier this week, to they could use a better 3rd goalie.

Yeah, could be especially if they can dump 1 of their extra 3mx2 D-man in that trade.

Unless Quick pulls a Fleury, I can see his value to CBJ. Steps in as a Korpi replacement, ensures the tank keeps tanking, and allows Tarasov to stay in the AHL for the rest of the year. Not to mention taking him on saves CBJ $3M in actual cash, compared to Gavvy and Korpi's salary.

But hey, if he can get flipped for an asset, I'm down.

I don't think they would do that to Quick, if they are dumping him I think they at least give him a chance. Maybe he gets shipped to Buffalo who is on the cusp of the playoffs at least and CBJ can have Comrie going back.

Since Tarosov is waiver eligible next season I doubt jarmo would want another year on the contract.

The only issue would be if quick says F this and doesn’t report to Columbus, I’d really hope he wouldn’t do that but Fleury almost did that to Chicago last year.

Fair point, but Comrie's 1.8m cap hit could be mostly buried assuming Elvis is still on the squad.
