looks like another deal could be in the works. Any ideas? If I had to guess, probably a forward, with 7 great defensemen already and Stralman in the AHL if need be (assuming the Tweet is correct in Reilly/Zboril out the door). Carrick, Ahcan, and Renouf as well if it gets that bad with injuries. Could Barbashev or Bjuegstad be in the works? Bigger fish like a Domi or Monahan? Elite player like Meier? (lol no but imagine!) Another defenseman like Schenn or Gavrikov? Connor McDavid? Nothing at all?

If it is true, I assume they'd add another defenseman. Someone will overpay for Schenn so I wouldn't go after him. They could use another bottom-6 forward.

are there any you should trust? lol.

It does make sense, though. Remarkable that Sweeney added to the team and gained cap space. One of Zboril or Reilly moving out could add the space for one more piece

Boston could be looking to just gain more cap space to help eat up the bonus they'll need to pay out to Bergeron and Krejci. Next year is going to be very tight once they re-sign Pasta, so if they can bank some cap space to eat up that $4.5 million cap, it less they'll have in dead cap next year.

I wouldn't trust Mark Allred. He's not nearly as connected as some other BOS journalists like Anderson or Porter. He only does podcasts giving his opinion on the Bruins, not much of anything else. Pretty sure he pays for his blue check.

Edit: Turns out it was false. Who would've guessed!
