Without retention? Lassi and a 2nd.

I think Lassi could play 3rd pair next year. He’s more offensive than defensive but the problem with Lassi is they couldn’t put him with Brannstrom or Sanderson on the 2nd or 3rd pair because it’s too much inexperience. So they throw him on the top pair with Chabot and it’s too much for him at once and Chabot already isn’t a strong defender so it’s not the best place for him to be.

Something like an Ekholm/McDonagh-Thomson 3rd pair next year would be perfect

A young goalie with a gaa under 2 in Finland, and a point per game defenseman in the OHL are intriguing pieces, but if the rumors are true, and Arizona asked for Byfield and Clarke in a Chychrun deal, I don't think Arizona even considers this.

Honestly I don’t think Clarke or Byfield will be in the deal. Or anyone of that caliber

Just cause Arizona is asking for it, don't mean they're gonna get it. They're clearly aiming very high.

Sens will be pretty strapped against cap for next year with Nino and Chychrun added. Basically means Sogard takes full time backup role to Forsberg.

Donovan is a sleeper , I would not part with him. Bjugstad should be going to a team that is pretty much confirmed to make the playoffs, he would be one and done in Ottawa.
