Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

- Drury knows it will be tricky to resign Chytil (because of his break out year) and at worst Lafferty is a strong top 9 FW/C. With one more year of the contract. So Drury goes all in but also fills a hole.
Kane trying to force this move thanks to recent strong play.
- now this is what I think might happen not necessarily what I want / think should happen or wish. So NYR fans relax not saying it should, just that if it does this is maybe what it will look like...
- maybe CHI adds something? Or CHI 3rd becomes a CHI 2nd? A 2023 2nd from CHI and I be okay with it.
- but this is pretty much hitting what CHI is looking fir at the same time this opens up for resign of Kane for NYR. And Lafferty is important piece to this puzzle too...
- Chytil's shares similar faith as Buchnevich unfortunately.

Only way he dumps Chytil is to get younger and more manageable with cap. Detroit possible option to put him between Zadina, Kubalik, or Vrana.

Would think they would need something like Veleno and/or Rasmussen coming back to center 3rd line in more cost-controlled manner.

Not sure if move like that is worth doing now, or waiting until the off-season.

I think Detroit makes a great trading partner since they do need a 2C. Rasmussen is probably the guy to get coming back although he projects to be a winger in the long-term, Goodrow can be moved up. If Kravtsov isn't dealt by then maybe they can ship him off as well and bring in Zadina/Veleno as well, the rest would probably be futures.

Not so much a dump, more a clear space to resign Kane (if they do this which I am sort of hoping they don't).
I also see MTL as trading partners, Jeff Gorton history and they fact that they have two first round picks this year. Maybe the lesser of those two and a depth guy like Evans or Smilanic and 4th pick perhaps?

1 Cup in over 80 years….yet I still can’t get myself to believe NYR would pull off such a foolish and short sighted deal.

One thing for certain- if Chytil is moved, he scores 75-90 pts wherever he lands next season…and the Rangers (w/o the 2023 TDL pickups) are combing the scrap heap in hopes a reclamation project can fill Chytil’s shoes.

FWIW, you gotta figure at this point Kane will be coming to NYR- it’s just a matter of how dumb of a deal they put together to get him here…and I say dumb because whatever forward they add- the team will only go as far as the goalie and the D takes them. No problem in putting our faith in Shest….but the D coverage is horrendous. And this is probably more than a systemic issue than a personnel issue.

You're an emotional mess, Debbie Downer lol.
We are way ahead of schedule because we signed our core, kept our kids, brought smart Fox home and with Igor, we have a good chance. Not giving away uphill hot Chytil for more expensive expired candy! We'll fix cap after 23 run. Lafferty is not a top 9 and Chytil would fetch way more than a 2nd & 3rd like Buch. GMs were not lining up to pay Buch 5.8m
