Huberdeau's major regression isnt shocking to anyone who looked at his underlying stats.

His zone entries at the end of last season were 42nd percentile and zone exits were 38th percentile with carry exits being only 8th percentile.

His forecheck and recoveries were also very weak

Long story short unless he is playing with someone whos a high end possession centre like barkov he isnt remotely as effective as he isnt a play driver. At 30 years old and 10.5 million he doesnt bring much else tp the table tp remotely justify that kind of money.
