Won't happen, Pagnotta is an idiot with horrible sources. I remember this summer he said Kadri signing with the Islanders was a done deal and they were just waiting on Lou to announce it

He did shutdown the Clarke for Chychrun rumors and that was spot on.

Broken clock is right twice a day, he's still been completely wrong on at least 5 times the things he called right

i love these moves if you take out formenton and maybe add like a 3rd rounder... because we all know the situation

I like both deals , but according to AZ fans Crouse is the next C of the Coyotes and not in play.
Risk reward in the Calgary deal. A couple of players who may come back and make a difference or may not play again. Not sure Thomson needs to be included.
These are fair offers on both sides for a change.

crouse is not worth a top 10 pick yet alone more, sens pass, and that flames trade is horrendously bad for OTT, one of the worst trades I've seen on this website

Yeah, as of now, Formenton is not getting traded or signed until the situation is resolved

His value right now is null but if he gets "cleared", then it's a lot more than being transpired here

I find these proposals very bad for Ottawa

Sens first is currently 10th OA, Brannstrom has progressed very nicely this season and has the 10th lowest 5v5 xGA/60 among D-men. Crouse is not worth that to me when DeBrincat was worth a 7th OA + 2nd + 3rd in a much much worse draft

The Flames deal is ultra bad for Ottawa. Weegar starts a 6.25 AAV 8 years contract at 30 y/o and seemed to have peaked offensively 2 years ago. Kyllington has been MIA and lost of value this season

Even if you take away Formenton (who should not be in proposals AT ALL), DeBrincat + Thomson is a massive overpayment

You’re not getting Weegar for his offence , he provides stability for one your top 2 LD while Zub gets the other assignment. He put up good offensive numbers playing with Ekblad the past couple of years but he is not an offensive D man. It’s likely a moot point anyways cause I don’t see Calgary moving him or wanting to deal with a contract for ADB.
Some of you people take this too seriously . This all fantasy.

If Zub was older and was starting a 8 years contract at 30 y/o, Sens fans would be LIVID with the extension

Weegar's contract reduces his value by A LOT, Also 6.25 is a bit high for a guy who doesn't put numbers.

I'd be ready to take the risk with the Sens salary cap structure going forward allowing it but I wouldn't give any prime asset to get him.

But tat being said, I'd be ready to do DeBrincat + Thomson for Weegar + Dube
