I doubt there is any world where Washington would deal a 2nd for a guy with 3 years on his deal and having scored a whole 6 points this year, especially when they already have plenty of capable depth options and Greenway doesn't bring more value than, say, Protas or Johansson or Sheary. That 2nd could be used for much more important needs.

Leafs trade is non sensical, but Wild do have pieces Leafs would be interested in. Hartman worth a 1st imo; Greenway & Foligno maybe less but both big bodies.
Will be interesting to see how Guerin handles TDL; future looks bright for Wild - superstar in Kaprizov + good young pieces & strong prospect pool - but look like hard pressed to stay in playoff race this year.

Agreed, pretty sure Sammy is a better option than Flower at this point. Even if Fluery is better, the gap certainly isn't Knies.

Why would Fleury have any value? He's the sort of goalie a playoff team may pick up as a 2nd or 3rd option. He'd be worth a 3rd round pick or so.

I mean, I agree that the trade up there is hot garbage, but I think a lot of playoff teams would be all over adding a 3 time Cup winner/recent Vezina winner as their goalie - off the top of my head, Seattle, New Jersey, Buffalo, LA, Vegas if Thompson's hurt long-term, and maybe even Pittsburgh and Carolina would be on-board bringing him in as a 1B type of goalie. The big issue with him this year is when he has a bad game it's a capital-B Bad game - his last 6 games are a perfect example. January 19th against Carolina he gives up 5 goals on 29 shots, then has a 4 game stretch where he gives up 10 total goals on 135 shots (.926 SV%) before getting pulled after 5 goals in 2 periods last night.

Point is, if you have a solid backup you can tandem him with, I could easily see MAF getting the same type of return he got at last year's deadline - he's been a very solid playoff goalie for years now, and a team looking to get over that hump isn't really gonna find anything that much better available out there, IMO.

Each of these trades are declined by the other teams. Wild fans will need to temper expectations for possible returns for these players. Almost all the players values are at their lowest right now.
