I think you're way low on a Mayfield signing. Gudbranson and Manson both got AAVs of $4MM plus; if his agent is even remotely competent, he should be able to Mayfield something in that neighborhood.

If Mayfield signs for under $3MM it would only make sense for him if it's at least a 6 year deal, and that makes no sense for the Isles.

Mayfield will get 4.5-5 mill in free agency. Maybe the isles will trade Dobson so they can sign a 31 YO Mayfield to a 5 or 6 year deal.
