Probably don’t even need retention on Puljujarvi. EDM’s lacking in the early 20’s Left Shot LW/C department

On pace for 50 points and he's a two-way player and signed for another year. A 2nd and a B prospect or Sharks just keep him.

My offers worth that, but assuming Grier wants the 2nd, which Flame(s) would you consider “B” Prospects: https://www.capfriendly.com/depth-charts/flames

If those 2 are “B” Prospects, what’s an “A” Prospect to you!?

I mean, they’re both 1st Rounders all but guaranteed to be NHL Regulars next season

your offer seems fair, don’t love the lack of size from Phillips but his numbers in the AHL imply he should be a capable too 9 forward and Kylington had a fantastic year but is he done or what’s the issue this year?

Not sure exactly, but hoping Kylington’s back later this season or by next seasons Training Camp at the latest.

He was worth a 1st in my eyes pre-season, but now it has to have slipped a bit, so he’d be a bit of a gamble but could produce a very high reward, in that he’d be a Top-4 Puck Moving D-Man who can play both sides OR be flipped for a better return next season

Phillips is a replacement player that SJS gets to tryout before re-signing. He doesn’t hold much Trade Value, but if given a fair chance, he could prove to be NHL Ready, something he’s never been offered by the Flames. He’s a Top-6 Player in the AHL and Sutter puts him on the ice for 5 minutes a game on Checking Lines with less offensively skilled forwards.

Sutter use to do that to SJS kids as well. he is a vet guy for sure. if you added a 3rd and we could get some clarity on Kylington and his availability in the future i would consider this. But Barabanov value is pretty high being on a 50 point pace while being a fantastic facilitator in the offensive zone at just 2.5 m this year and next.

A prospects are your Simon Nemecs, Alex Holtz, William Eklunds, Simon Edvinsson, David Jiricek, Cutter Gauthier types. Sorry but Zary and Pelletier are not same level as those.

Yes, those are all Top-10 Draft Picks = "TOP Prospects", but Pelletier & Zary have been putting up the same or better numbers as Holtz & Eklund recently, so:

    Pelletier & Zary = Holtz
    Pelletier & Zary > Eklund

I'd consider them all "A" Prospects, "B" Prospects to me are recent or former 2nd Round or later Draft Picks who appear destined for the NHL:

Calgary "A" Prospects: Dube, Ruzicka, Wolf, Pelletier, Zary, Coronato, Poirier
Calgary "B" Prospects: Emilio Pettersen, Meloche, Kuznetsov, Stromgren, Topi Ronni, Kerins,
Calgary "C" Prospects: Mackey, Phillips, Duehr, Schwindt, Ben Jones, Solovyov, Nikolayev, Ciona, Klapka, Pospisil, Huckins, Jack Beck, Parker Bell, Jake Boltman, Cameron Whynot, Cole Jordan, Arsenii Sergeev, Daniil Chechelev, Oscar Dansk
