Description

Olofsson in Vegas just makes sense to me, has played with Jack before and have a lot of chemistry already, and would strengthen the powerplay even more. Plus at 2.375 million for this year and next year, he's a cheap winger that can handle a top wing spot next to Jack. and next year can produce from the 3rd line getting 2nd powerplay minutes (done that this year and still on pace for almost 40 goals)

Actually what would you add if there was retention and a 2nd going back. Most have Martinez getting a 3rd or 4t rnd pick back, Korczak is a good prospect but Olofsson like you said is having a decent year and probably gets a 1st with retention. So if you are getting retention and 2nd and about 4m in cap space I say your 1st coming back is about right with those 2.

Think about the logic your using here... Suzuki is better then dvorak but a gm likes what he sees in dvorak better , so he's going to pay more for him then Suzuki....hmmm

The mistake you're making here is assuming he's using logic. What about his statement would make you think that?

CBJ ask are what they got for Savard, which means a 1st and a pair of 4th rounders
MTL got better than that, and the ask was probably more than that but they settled at a unprotected 2023 1st + 3rd rounder prospect + a 4th … we’ll see how this panned out but I doubt CBJ get a better offer than what MTL got for Chiarot, but hey you never know
