An overpaid winger and a defenceman making way too much, even at 3m. not enough for us to move fabbro for.

if you saw it from a preds fan, he was trolling.

I don't think Fabbro has much value at all. I bet poile would move him for Myers straight up at 3mil.

Myers is the far better dman at this point even if he isn't much.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fabbro doesn't receive a QO this summer. He's in a very similar situation to Bear last summer. Ice time has decreased. Carolina ended up extending the QO but then had to retain and send an AHL cap dump to trade him for a 5th. I don't see Fabbro being in much different of a position unless he takes a significant step forward next year which doesn't seem like it will happen in Nashville. Not much value there IMO.

Was that a troll, or were you being serious?

Poile would absolutely NOT flip Fabbro for Myers. The LAST thing the Preds need is an overpaid, old and declining defenseman. He’s all yours.

Fabbro will most definitely receive a QO. He’s an important piece to our right side and he’s only 24. What makes you think we let him walk for free? If he goes anywhere, it’s to a team who needs a young RHD, where we’ll get either young assets or draft picks in return. We aren’t downgrading just because Vancouver wants a RHD.

And his ice time has decreased because of McDonagh, which is a good thing. A lighter load on Fabbro.

Points ≠ value all of the time. Fabbro has value.
If he didn’t, why is every canucks ACGM involving him? Keep Myers.

I love the justification. It's almost the same justification that canes fans gave about Bear when they thought he had value. "Oh him playing less is actually a good thing" or some other justification for being a healthy scratch. Because what everyone wants to see in their almost 25yr old dman is them playing 14-16mins a night.

He MIGHT receive a QO this summer. I'd bet you he isn't on the Nashville roster by the end of next season and at max he ends up returning a 3rd round pick, which is generous.

Fabbro > Bear

Im so happy that you’re so sure of his low value that you want him on hour team.

We’ll hold onto our 24 year old RDH while you continue to scrounge for Myers trades that only make sense in YOUR head.

Have a good night brudda.

Fabbro doesn't have much value. His closest comparable would be Ethan Bear who the Canucks acquired for a 5th round pick. He just isn't that great

Fabbro could snag us a low 2nd. His comparable is NOT Bear, considering Fabbro is more defensively competent than Bear.

Bad comparison.

It is not a bad comparison. Similar cap hit, similar age. Bear is the better player. He is better offensively, and defensively as represented by his higher Off, and Def, and higher GAR and WAR. Why should Fabbro be worth so much more?

Because arguing with Canucks fans is exhausting. It seems all you and the other guy have done here is try to convince me that Myers and Bear are all “much better” than Fabbro.

Your logic is so weird. You’ll make an ACGM with a bad Fabbro trade and when we decline, the justification is “well Fabbro isn’t actually that good, and Nashville wont even qualify him”
Then why are you trading for him? Why do you want him?
If the answer is going to be “well, because he’s younger”
Then that might be why Nashville keeps him, right?
Have you guys ever considered that he’s valuable to Nashville? Regardless of you think “Bear is better”, Poile wouldn’t be inclined to move Fabbro unless it’s an offer that he really likes. That’s usually how he trades. Fabbro has value to HIM.
But I wouldn’t expect you to use critical thinking.

All you’ve done here is try to sell yourself on your own players. Keep them. We don’t want any of them.

Nashville has soured on Fabbro which is evident by the large decrease in ice time and occasional healthy scratch. You just haven't realized that yet because like Carolina fans with Bear you try to justify it as a good thing.

Don't worry you will realize it soon enough.

Fair enough. But if we can both stop being dicks for a minute. Myers would hold some serious trade value at the deadline next year with retention. He's owed 1mil in real cash after his signing bonus. With Van already retaining 50% that's only 500k in real cash. If Nashville or whoever gets Myers retains another 50% that's a 1.5mil cap hit and 250k cash (pro rated) at the deadline for a big RHD that has consistently played top 4 minutes throughout his career.

Being super realistic here, Schenn is going to fetch you more of a return than Myers. He’s a cheaper and effective rental for a contending teams bottom 4. If a team is going to inquire about him, they’ll just turn their attention to Schenn.

Nashville wont be that team. We’ll be inclined to keep our younger players and approach a re-tool, rather than moving them for vets we don’t need.
