How are they one-sided? Please elaborate.
Same kind of one sided concoctionsw seen way too many times...
CHI for losing 2mil in cap for 4 years in McCabe and then Toews gets: an 80th overall in 2023, a 1st TWO drafts away, a meh midlevel prospect and a 4th THREE drafts away? Its just a so below market value offer and bears no resemblance to what CHI might want? What do you think 4 years of 2mil in retention is worth for McCabe? Never mind the fact he was just signed with a NTC, and the eye rolls thatll get from players or agents.
Engvall to DET is a cap dump, why would DET want him? So they are eating retention and giving away a fairly valuable TDL commodity for a late in the round 4th TWO drafts away?
What is Kerfoot to STL? Hes a expiring cap dump, and the TOR 3rd is THREE drafts away, so STL is getting a 1st and a midlevel prospect for Tarasenko at 50%, they'll get far better offers.
These proposals from Leaf fans only look at what leaf fans want to give away, but rarely factor in the other team and what they want/need. Where is the value to the other teams? Does the return meet what they need or want? The leafs are the buyers in a sellers market.
Also, the world isn;t a leaf tunnel, there are other teams ALSO making offers, and making far better than these. Its not like Dubas is the only one to BID on these guys.
