Put the percentage sign AFTER the 50, not before it.

50% is the correct way to write it out, not %50. Dollar signs, simply and always go before a number, and percentage signs after. That's basic common grammar. Even someone who is bad at it like myself, can understand that much.

I'm not sure how someone can correctly infer anything if the original poster can't correctly write out something that basic. Because that looks like they purposefully retained fifty dollars, and not fifty percent.
