Meh. The unbiased part of me says that it's probably somewhat reasonable...the Ducks fan in me says "We've gotta lock up Terry, he's only going to be 26 next year, so not a chance".

Just from a purely hypothetical perspective where Terry has said "Nah, I'm not going to sign long term, I'll just run with the QO then see where we're at", if that were the case, I'd be trying to swing something right now, because the absolute haul that you could get for a guy that you could move for a $725 k cap hit at the deadline should (would?) be ridiculous.

Also, again from the biased part of me, I think there comes a point where you've gotta say "Ok, we need to start adding now, instead of subtracting...Troy Terry is a big part of our future, so we need to keep him".
