Makes no sense for Seattle

I think this is a bit much to pay for a rental goalie who's been a backup all season, especially as Grubauer and Jones have been playing better of late. I wouldn't mind adding a goalie like Varlamov to fold into the rotation, but not at this price tag.

Varlamov is really good though. He was the goalie that backstopped the isles to both semi-final runs, not sorokin

Take away the 3rd and Kraken Accept or leave the 3rd and add a Bottom 6 Face off guy

Isles say yes and I think Seattle would be a great fit for him.

But, when was the last time a goalie was traded to a playoff contender to be a starter? Ryan Miller? Starting goalies usually don't get traded before the deadline unless they're meant to be a backup (like Ben Bishop when he got traded to LA).

Vary is better than everyone thinks. Think this is a very fair price with us retaining salary.
