Well, isn't Boeser part of that environment?
Is he the only player on the Canucks not accountable for giving up more goals, chances and shots against?
Of all Canucks players getting at least 400 minutes of ice time at 5v5 this season:
Boeser ranks 5th last in GF% at 44.6
Boeser ranks tied for last (with Lazar) in xGF% at 43.3, that's 2.5 percentage points lower than the Canucks average.
A bottom 5 team in the NHL are getting overall actively worse when Boeser steps onto the ice, that's a damning indictment of his level of play this season.
I get that Boeser's key assets relates to scoring and production, but for 6.65m AAV the results he puts up in the above metrics are wholly unacceptable.
Boeser is also below 50% in both Corsi and Fenwick differentials fwiw.
