Maybe the Orlov trade, but the Boston trade is great. And Blues accept too.

Yeah... Minnesota isn't sending out its top prospect and the heart and soul leader of the team for a 30 years old, injury prone, rental UFA.

Retained or not.

Use a little common sense please.

Use a little phrase integrity. One FUBAR shoulder op situation and one dumb luck shot hitting his hand over a decade + does not = "injury prone". That's not at all what it means.

The incident with the hand happens all the time in the NHL, if it's not Tarasenko... it's someone else. Is it a freak accident, yes. But they do happen. And far more frequently then fans care to admit.

But that shoulder FUBAR situation revolves around him not have one but TWO separate shoulder surgeries. The 2nd of them causing such a disconnect and divide between player and organization that he has openly had a trade demand and desire to be moved for the last year and a half.

If it were just the one surgery I'd agree with you, but he's missed a large amount of time or had issues with THREE separate injuries in the past 5 years.

Sorry, but that makes him injury prone.

First of all, he didn't perform the incorrect surgery, so I have no idea how that makes him anything. Secondly, there have been zero problems with the shoulder since it was correctly fixed. Thing the third, it was two separate injuries, no clue where you go three from. Finally, it's interesting how you carved five years specifically, seeing as how he was one of the most durable wingers in the entire league up until that point. So yeah, exactly none of these rationalizations = injury prone. That's simply not what it means, at all.

2 Separate Shoulder Surgeries + 1 Broken Hand = 3 Injuries total over the last 5 years.

Only 10 games played in 2020.

And only 24 games played in 2021.

Since 2020 he's played only 144 games. Even accounting for and during the two pandemic shortened seasons he only played 34 games during those two years.

He has missed a massive amount of time in the last 3 years, he absolutely qualifies as injury prone. And at age 30 he is a extremely high-risk candidate for further issues. Whether he can stay healthy enough to stay on the ice is a legitimate concern for any GM potentially looking at trading for him or signing him long-term.

Fun fact: a surgery is not an injury. And again, you clearly do not understand what injury prone means. But whatever. I tried to help.
