If Buffalo could get McCabe, Puljujarvi, Foote and a third for Asplund, Bloom, Bryson, Hinostroza and PHI second, it would be a great TDL.
Moving three players who are not regulars and an undersized LHD for McCabe would be black magic.

The only player on that list that doesnt blow is Ullmark? Larsson and McCabe were a core of the worst teams in Sabres history for years yet Sabs fans want them back lol! I just dont get some fans.

Signing Eakin over Larsson you think was a good move?
McCabe was signed for $4,000,000 which indicates his value. He played hard, hit, PK'ed, ate minutes and was solid in his own end.
Just because the team was bad does not mean all of the players were bad.
Those was three of many dumb moves KA made until Karmanos was directing traffic.
Letting Ullmark walk was the worse, signing Eakin the second and McCabe would easily get plenty of ice and PK time on this team.

Did i say signing Eakin was a good move? Is Larsson even in the league anymore? and as far as McCabe please look at his advanced analytics, he was awful. When we resigned McCabe I am sure we overpaid since no player in his right mind wanted to be in Buffalo. Crazy idea, if we want to trade for a 6th dman we should get trade for someone with some nasty to him because if this team makes the playoffs as good as we are offensively we will physically get our asses kicked. McCabe will not help that one bit, he is just a moderate upgrade to Bryson/Clague
