Doesn't seem to cap friendly now does it (a 20 man roster). And really players should be playing in their usually spots....LW and LHD.
Keep you picks and youngsters and spend 8m elsewhere. Shouldn't be dfficult to find a competent LHD and RHD for 8m

Not Worth the Cap hits and Chychrun really has never played RD even thou he is listed as such, he is still Left Shot. As well i still am not comfortable wit the injury issues to give him an extension after current deal.

The main problems are also not the top players.

Management, coaching, bottom-6, need another good defensive D-man (Chabot still needs his methot)

I would do all that before looking at make big roster moves and sacrifice a good part of my prospect pool (which has been trending down for 2 years now)
