Doesn’t hurt to add depth. Adding Schenn is fine as long as it comes at a very very low cost

Mostly agree... I wouldn't personally target Schenn as an upgrade with giving up assets for, but that just my opinion. His contract is low, so for the right trade price I guess?

I would also prefer to target Bennett as my #1 option, if available,--- if I'm giving up the number of quality assets that these deal require, would be nice to have for present & future. And he offers more flexibility IMO.
Meier's value has never been so highly inflated (even though I agree he's a great top 6 LW). His value in the market likely pushes TOR out of the conversation
ROR is intriguing--St Louis isn't THAT far back from a WC spot. Coming off an injury. Not sure St Louis will get the value they'd expect for him. Line configuration would be interesting with AM, JT & ROR @ C.
Barbashev would be a last ditch effort to find something.

Klingberg could be fine @ the right value. But I would want the price tag to come down before getting in the mix.

ROR and then call it a day. Unless you get a cheap depth defenceman as well. Not someone who'll play but if we have injuries in hopefully a long playoff run, then we can have better insurance than Mete

Well he costs at least a 3rd, probably a 2nd. It isn't worth it when we have the depth we already have

You know, I mostly agree with this. I’d probably switch Gavrikov and Schenn, but overall I agree with what you have here.

I agree but getting Klingberg would be like getting a mix of Rielly and Tyson Barrie. Do we really want that? If you hated Tyson Barrie as a Leaf, you will hate Klingberg more. If you liked Barrie, then you will like Klingberg

Barrie was awful as a leaf, but TOR played a terrible style for him. Barrie is a capable NHL D-man, who wasn't a fit.
If Klingberg can play with any level of structure, and then add some offense, it could work. But still, not at what the expected trade value is.
