In a sense Meier would be fun but then u got a dilemma for 2023 as lets be honest if u extend Meier, Nylander gets traded so in the end your moving on from potential Knies in a giant package for 2-3months of a big 5. And yea Nylander could get u a nice package back even with a year left but still feels weird.

You can say a lot about how tampa is built, but playofftime ( when the whistle gets suddenly lost) guys like Killorn, Perry, Maroon, Bogosian, Cernak step up.
Even Sergachev and Hedman are at least scary big.

In general what killed the leafs last playoffs wasnt a lack of nastiness but taking 2 bad penalties in game 6 Tampa's coach even admitted it. Those dont happen Leafs probs beat em in 6. And as we saw Nastiness actually got em in trouble look what Simmonds and Clifford did nothing but take bad penalties being what we call Nasty. Also one could argue if they got avg goaltending could have probs ended sooner as where was JC in the end of that series 3-4 with a 3.15 gaa and a 0.897sv.

Besides u want nasty look at ZAR. Guy basically made Gudas look like his **** as when he to scared to fight him its pretty funny. Gio and Bunting no slouches either along with mentioned above Simmonds.

Toronto has hung with the best but what one could argue is their biggest weakness is a lack of depth scoring. In the Tampa series it was prevalent and this TDL there is a chance to fix that for the probs up and coming rematch
