I like the Luke Schenn trade unfortunately I think you are going to need a little more. Last January (things have changed since then)Vancouver turned down a 2nd for him. So I think the Sabers could do a tradeable prospect and a 2nd to get him.

Meier plays a game that is hard to come by. getting point per game power forwards that are 26 isnt easy. Maybe a slight over pay, but very very slight.

That's a lot to pay for 5 more goals (or .1 more goal per game, when the team doesn't really need more goals)

Oloffsons goal tally is the biggest misdirection. He goes on hot streaks. He will soon forget *** to play hockey again and the third line will look a mess. Id much rather have a younger, much better overall hockey player in timo meier. If you watch the two of them play i think youd understand why timo gets so much more. Vic is a very very lucky. Timo is a damn good player

The clueless with vic is insane. People stroke his **** until there hand bleeds cause he gets pucks on a platter. Yes very good shot. But every other aspect to his game is awful so when he doesnt get an easy one timer hes uselss. When timo isnt playing hes still a very very good passer (vic is not), very heavy player who hits and fights when needed (vic is not), and high hockey IQ(vic does not). Thats what you pay more for. Theres more to hockey than goals and this current generation doesnt grasp that fully

I don't know what the "current generation" you are talking about. I grew up watching LaFontaine, Mogilny, Andreychuk, Hawerchuck and then Ray, May, Barnaby.

I guess I am missing something because hits and fighting are going the way of the dodo bird. And I'm a huge fan of old-school physical hockey. That's just not today's game. I've moved on from it and adapted.

How many PIMs does Meier have? Now subtract his goal total from his play, because it hurt his team and I'm willing to wager that basically evens out 22 goals to 27 goals. Not to mention, Meier plays more minutes.

Olofsson is t-16th in league at 5v5 goals (tied with Petterson, Svechnikov and Nylander and 1 less than Meier) and people just scoff at it like it's nothing. He's 7th in 5v5 G/60.

If people don't like goals, I wonder why.

I don't think olofsson gets 7 on the open market. I think good-not great wingers are gonna be the guys who get squeezed. Which is fine.
