i don't hate it, he gives us some extra depth up front and he can play wing or center. the only thing is i'd rather keep our first than burn it for a 40 point player. I think it owuld be a future pick in 2025 2/3 then prospect depending on the pick

No third for 2 years of retention for sure. Otherwise not terrible. Will cement the ducks to a full tank this year

He's not a rental, and is the best faceoff guy on our team. If we are considering retaining 50% on him for all of next season, we would demand quality, not quantity. There's not a lot of prospects in COL's system who would muscle their way in front of players the Ducks already have in the pipeline right now anyway.
