I wouldn't trade Drysdale if I were Anaheim. Top 6 forwards isn't their problem. They have McTavish, Zegras, Terry already on the team. Plus one of Bedard/Carlsson/Fantilli coming.

Yeah. But I was thinking Roy might be attractive to a team that has Bedard & McTavish based on the past 2 WJC Canadian teams

I think that you have the two SoCal teams confused. It's the KINGS that need Jordan Harris (or Arber Xhekaj, or Kaiden Guhle) and the DUCKS who are thin at RD and thus cannot afford to trade a single one away -- and right now, Drysdale is the only RD with NHL experience on the roster for 2023-2024, as short as that experience has been.

@Caufield's analysis above is 100% accurate -- we wouldn't be interested in trading a major asset for a forward with McTavish, Zegras and Terry already on the team, one of Bedard/Carlsson/Fantilli likely on the way, and Pastujov, Perreault and Gaucher already in the system.

I think Montreal losses both of these trades. And by a considerable amount.

Farrell vs Pelletier - this may be probably debatable. I would personally take the former, but it’s likely a coin flip. Do it as a straight swap, if anything.

Drysdale vs Harris/Roy/1st - Drysdale will be good player, but it is not like he is going to be a #1 dman. Will likely be top-4 offensive RD and the gap between him and Harris ought to be less than Roy/1st.

Interesting perspective. I saw it as a bit of an overpay because of organizational need but your perspective on Drysdale makes me rethink this.

You may be better off just proposing Roy for Jordan Spence. Or for Erik Brannstrom. I am sure Devils would give you Reilly Walsh for him too.

Flames pass, Pelletier or one of the many other Flames players are more than capable of being Coronato's setup man (I hear Huberdeau is fairly good at that sort of thing). Pelletier has the higher potential too according to the large majority of experts

I see both Pelletier and Farrell as 2nd line or middle 6 players and Hubbie is a top line player. Not sure about Coronato... Anyway as long as you didn't think the trade was ridiculously unbalanced... I'll take it as a win

You are welcome to offer an overpay, the answer is no, we literally cannot afford to loose Drysdale for any amount.

Aside from that, Zegras, Drysdale, and McTavish have already demonstrated great personal chemistry together.

I'd also argue Drysdale is not a prospect, he is a roster player.
