I'd rather have 25 year old Mat Barzal over the next 8.5 seasons at his $9.15M AAV than 27 year old Bo Horvat for the next 8.5 seasons even at a slightly lower cap hit. Canucks fans overvaluing a guy with a 23.3% shooting percentage is gonna have them really underwhelmed by the eventual trade return for Horvat, I think.

I agree Horvat is a nice player but he’s shooting out of his mind and realistically is 2C on a team with championship desires.
