The issue with ROR is his values tanked. Hes having a bad season rn on pace for 18 goals and 32 points. His defensive numbers aint great and the one good consistency has been his faceoffs.

If they want that for him even with retention im going nope. Now if he comes back and by the deadlines got 50 points then there is an argument

As for Barbashev maybe an option but we got enough guys like him rn. We just need goal scoring.

Vancouver isnt getting one of those things for schenn, let alone both. The leafs have zero use for him and he wouldn't even be their 4th rd.

Anyone who pays a second for a guy who cant even crack the top 5 d in ice time on a team as bad as Vancouver deserves to be fired immediately.

You want both, you’re more than likely going to have to add a better prospect. Maybe the Blues front office values him differently but I don’t see a world where Niemela is of much interest to the Blues.

Venture to guess the return for ROR alone is similar to that package minus the 2nd. Barbashev probably gets a couple 2nds or a 2nd and a 3rd or something similar.

I don't think we have anyone like Barbashev. Has some skill but plays a physical game Maybe Aston-Reese but Barbashev has way more skill
