Description

Next priorities are Addison, then Gus. Boldy deal probably locks those 2 into bridge deals around 2ish mil. It also forces the team to decide between Steel and Gaudreau, either choice should be less than 2 mil. That leaves about 3 mil to sign Duhaime or Shaw or call up guys like Beckman or Walker. I’d also be in the look out for a Greenway trade.

Tidy business to lock up what should be the best value contract in the league.

If Gus keeps playing well and gets somewhere around 30 games and 2.5-2.75 GAA I think he'll get something between 2.5 and 3 million for 2 years which would be pretty similar to what Kaapo Kahkonen got last year.

Maybe. I think if the AAV is gonna go that high then the term is gonna be longer, 2.5 is too high on a bridge for me. Thinking the Skinner deal as the comp and that was Kaapo’s 2nd contract after his ELC.

I do think there is an incentive for Gus to take a lower cost bridge that gets him to UFA where he can cash in on playing.

Yeah the Skinner deal of 2.6 x 3 years works too. Both contracts make me think Gus is getting 2.5+ at 2/3 years.
