Canes do not have the space to extend him. And at that price, Morrow is a nonstarter for Horvat. Easy pass.

Friedman said that there was a team who discussed three players one of which being their top prospect for Horvat. I could definitely see Morrow in a Horvat return but another offensive guy is not really what we need.

I believe they meant the deal is Kuzmenko for either:

2023 1st round pick + 3rd round pick

OR

Kravtsov + 2023 3rd round pick

And the Canes will tell you he's not on the table. It's fine saying the Canucks might want him, but Carolina have been very public saying they will not spend big on rentals. Morrow is obviously off the table.
