Clearly not a Rangers fan. This destroys the team after this year when Horvat and Kuzmenko leave. Chychrun is good, but not worth that much to upgrade from Lindgren to him. This team would barely make the playoffs or still gets bounced early since the right side is still awful with Carpenter and Vesey taking 2 of the 4 spots. Hopefully Drury isn’t dumb this deadline otherwise we may as well buy everyone out and completely rebuild top to bottom.

The only salary you’re adding to next year is Chychrun’s in this and that’s $4.6m, with Kakko going the other way, that’s $2m or so off the books. So, not including what would have been qualifying offers for both Lafreniere and Kravtsov, you’re only adding about $2.5m in salary for next year.
