Description
- With Blais failing this much, more prone to injure his own team mates he should be sent down.
- with that, Buch trade equals to nothing... But I am not bitter =)
- No Kane no pain.
- Panarin is paid like a superstar, let him carry that line on his back. He sure is paid to enough. Work harder Bread man.
- Chytil you are not (C) your faceoffs stats says it clearly. Should be regarded and valued like a winger.
- Laffy wins draws for Chytil, is most effective in front of the net, needs to get 2nd line min to develop, this solves everything.

Thank you smile

I am still expecting some causalities next season thou. But if the kids do well we at least get more for them in return and the team will do better. And looking at the roster it is a roster desperately needing some development of young players.

Btw, so loving BUF right now! What a team =)

Getting there, growing pains. Really need to bring in atleast 1 D, maybe 2 if they can't get Johnson to sign. Need to find that Goalie. Has really hurt us in some games. Give the Sabres 2yrs and they will be able to roll 4 lines of Hell.

This is what I mean, the way the growth is going, it is going to be an absolute beauty in 1-2 years. It is almost strong enough already to out perform the weaknesses the team has, the ones you mentioned.

Given the years BUF fans had to endure leading up to this, it is very well deserved.

Yeah, hopefully they keep taking that next step, it's been a fun ride this year. We are getting to that point where we just need to put the final pieces of the puzzle together. And the good thing is, we have the chips to use and add to those pieces without really hurting are future.

You have the assets to do that and cap to do that, this is very fortunate. I believe BUF will.

You guys got a good team Sweden, I hope they don't destroy it going after Kane. Good luck the rest of the year.

Yeah me too. All "experts" say NYR will trade for him, so that isn't that likely to happen. They are 98 % of the time wrong.

His metrics are horrible this year, don't care how bad Chicago is. Evolving Hockey had him graded at a total of 1 last week. Maybe that changes playing with you guys, but that's falling of a cliff number.

I would like to see experimentation so the Rangers have more players capable of moving to the middle if needed. Similar to Stutzle, we need to find a niche for Laffy's broad skill set, and it very well could be as a grit Center (not as a power forward). If the NYR are able to convert a Winger to a Center then it would obviate the need to pay a high price for a young Centerman. I do like Chytil as a Center because his speed and size down the middle is quite disruptive. Chytil looked strong on faceoffs at the beginning of the year, so I think he can do it if he prioritized it, but see Hughes/Haula and Stutzle/Giroux where the Winger is the primary faceoff guy. I like that you kept Blais on the third line because that is what he was brought in to do, so give a longer run and if he can't handle it find another solution. Your 1st and 4th lines are pretty much set going forward with Goodrow as the Floater and Brodzinski, Leschyshyn, and Rydahl more than capable to fill in for Goody if there is a need.

One possible alignment is keeping Chytil and Trocheck (as a RW which would balance us positionally) together with Trocheck handling the faceoffs. Put Laffy on a trial run as the 3rd line Center with Kravy (who also played some Center internationally).

The problem is I don't see a line of Kravtsov - Laffy - Blais earning many minutes, unless Laffy can be next year what Chytil has been for us this far. Which is to be honest something most NYR fans where looking forward too, but hasn't happened yet. There is an inconsistency that needs to be washed away in Laffy's game, and my hope was with more min, more production, more consistency and more attention to details. I could see him centering someone like Domi and Kravtsov at a TDL move for Domi.

So like this
Kreider - Mika - Kakko
Panarin - Chytil - Trocheck
Domi - Laffy - Kravtsov
Vesey - Goody - Gauthier

Good point, Blais definitely needs to step it up, he is in the right mold for the 3L but needs to display his skills which we have seen glimpses of. It could work if we are trying to acclimate Laffy to the middle at the same time and if Blais is holding up the line then time for a change to Domi or Nyquist. Laffy would have to push play and be responsible to utilize his linemates, which could be a big win for him.

Domi plays with an edge, I would love to see it rub off on Laffy that can seem a little uninterested sometimes. With someone like Domi he would need to be on his toes.
If to go the Nyquist route his speed and smooth skating would force Laffy to always move his feet and position himself.
so I like this idea smile

Coaches know a bit more than rookie cf potatoes. Laf is not a c! Faceoffs have nothing to do with actually playing that responsible position. Chytil is a better c than w.
