If we don't get at least a 2024 second -- not fourth -- and a useful player or prospect -- not a rental -- for Henrique, we'll just keep him.

I don't think Henrique is the solution for 2LW. Wonder if Dubas will address that hole or if Jarnkrok takes this opportunity and runs with it.

Not near enough for Henrique for 2 years at 50% retained.

With Jarnkrok being under contract and on the roster I can understand that, but Henrique's contract expires just after he turns 34 and Jarnkrok's contract expires just before he suffers the same birthday. If you don't like the thought of the last year of Henrique's contract, how are you going to feel about the third and fourth years of Jarnkrok's contract?

This season, Adam Henrique is performing about as well on the third worst team in the League as Calle Jarnkrok is on the third best team in the League.

Over his career, Henrique’s scoring average is more than half a point a game; over his career, Jarnkrok is at 0.4 ppg. (Henrique has 13 points in 27 playoff games, Jarnkrok has 20 points in 75 playoff games. Of course, this stat is of little significance since Henrique’s sample is so old.) Moreover, Henrique is one of the better faceoff men in the League (53.8% this season), which is an added dimension that Jarnkrok doesn’t have. And they’re both defensively excellent.

Age or contract length objections have no merit: Henrique is less than two years older than Jarnkrok; his contract ends just after he turns 34 and Jarnkrok’s ends just before he turns 34.

At 50% retained, fits in brilliantly. Either takes the 3C role if Kämpf proves to expensive or the 2LW. At 50% retained, the Leafs can afford BOTH Kämpf and Bunting provided they don't go north of $2
5 million amd $4.75 million respectively.
