well thas a misinformed statement. its ok to not want him on your teams, but the reasons the habs stinks is definitly not savard. our depth scoring is incredibly bad and many fowards barely play defense, meh goaltending and we are dressing up the most inexperienced defense in the league. there is a lot of things going bad this season for the habs, but savard has been alright. (but it still ok if you dont want him). edmundson struggled more than him if you've watched the games.

They are not only bad at forward defence, they are just as bad at defense defense, Savard playing major minutes is a reason why. Savard has not been alruight, he's been bad, Edmundson being worse doesnt change that. The habs have an absolutly garbage defense and their top guys playing the most minutes are the major reason for that.

Savard really is that bad, he is not a top 4 defender, he cant even carry a bottom pairing. Holl is the leafs leading defender in minutes played and the Leafs are a top defensive team in the league. Savard is one of the habs and they are one of the worst, pretending otherwise is just funny,

well yeah our defense is garbage, but unlike some dmen that are questionable as if they should even be in an nhl line up, its not the case with savard. put any of sandin, lilgren, brodie or holl on our top pair and they would also be part of the reason we are bad. doesnt mean they are bad playrrs or not nhl players. cause the whole team stink and bottom pair d or meh second pair d shouldnt play topd man minutes too.

good players have good results even on bad teams, bad players have bad results even on good teams. It's not like savard is some sort of bit piece on the habs roster, he is literally their top pairing guy and their defence is garbage, if your top pairing defenders are good, or at least passable, you are not nearly as bad as the Habs are.

well thats bullcrap. your argument only makes sense isf you think savard is a top pairing guy. if you put the leafs 4th line player one the first line against the tough competition, of course they'll do bad, but they still might be good 4th lines players.

People hate the fan base because they hate the team. More people hate the leafs than like hockey. It's ridiculous, so if you don't accept getting absolutely wrecked on this site, you are a leaf homer.

The point is Savard is drowning when being asked to do heavy lifting on defence. Who would he even replace in TO? Holl is outperforming him by a huge margin. All the Leafs RD are outperforming Savard. In fact most players are.
